Gifted Arts Identification Update

giftedtalentedDue to the numerous snow/cold days, the DUE date for Gifted Arts Identification Permission Forms has been extended to February 3, 2014!   
Additionally, Visual Arts Portfolio Interviews for grades K-5 will be now be held February 11th & 13th during Conferences at Pfeiffer Intermediate school.  
PLEASE NOTE:  Due to a conflict the music auditions will be held February 13th during Conference times and February 20th from 3:15 – 6:00 PM.  If the time we assign conflicts with a scheduled academic conference please contact Vickie Briercheck at Pfeiffer Intermediate School 330-478-6163.  We will do everything we can to accommodate schedule conflicts.   If you have questions regarding preparations please consult with your child’s art or music teacher.

Kindergarten: Ready or Not 2014 Program – February 27th

kndreadyornotThe Stark County District Library and the Perry Sippo Branch Library are pleased to announce the Kindergarten: Ready or Not 2014 Program on Thursday, February 27th from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM. Adults and incoming kindergarten students can join principals and school officials for questions, answers, and recommendation of materials. While the adults learn children will be entertained with stories, songs, and crafts. Register online or by phone by calling (330) 477-8482.


Valentine’s Day Parties – Friday, February 14th @ 2:30 PM

heart-ballons-clip-artParents/Guardians wishing to attend their child’s Valentine’s Day Party need to contact the head room parent of your child’s classroom by February 7, 2014.  If you are unsure of the head room parent of  your child’s  class, please contact your child’s teacher via email.  Parents that are not on the party list will be UNABLE to attend the party.  Check in starts at 2:00 PM. Please bring a valid ID (license or state issue ID) to check in.

Perry Township Celebration Dinner

Watson’s December Student of the Month

student of the month copyCongratulations to Sophie Baker for being picked as Student of the Month for December! Sophie had her named pulled after earning numerous tickets for being Ready to Learn while at school. Sophie is currently a first grader in Mrs. Forchione’s  room. In addition to being Ready to Learn while at school, Sophie’s favorite subject at school is art and she enjoys collecting Lalaloopsy Dolls. Sophie likes sports; her favorite sport to play is basketball. When Sophie grows up she would like to be a chef.
