The Perry High School Cheerleaders will be holding a fall cheerleading clinic for Perry’s K-6 students on Saturday, August 27th from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Pfeiffer Intermediate School. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of cheering, stretching, and complete a craft. Cheerleaders will also learn one dance routine, five chants, and one cheer to use at the September 2nd football game versus Central Catholic. The Rotary of Perry Township, in cooperation with Members of Perry Local Schools, encourage you to pledge your support to the Angelyna Callahan ~ Cancer Fund.
On May 5th, 2016 fifteen (15) year old Angelyna Callahan was diagnosed with stage four (4 ) cancer. Before that, she had always been a happy, healthy young girl. Angelyna has completed phase 1 of 7 chemo treatments. June 1st was the first day of her second round of chemo. (more…)
Some last minute reminders for the last day of school: Please remember sunscreen. All packers should use throw-away bags (please no lunch bags). Make sure to wear play clothes today as there are water activities planned. Your child may come home a little wet today. Finally, all fees (lunch, library, textbook, etc.) need to be paid. Thank you!
The Perry Boys basketball program will be holding a skills camp June 13 – 15 in the main gym at Perry High School. Camp for boys entering grades 2 – 5 will be held from 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM. The Perry boys and girls tennis teams will sponsor a junior tennis camp for students entering grades 2-8 in 2016-2017. The tennis camp will be held June 6 – 9 at the Perry High School tennis courts. Camp for grades 2-4 will be from 5:15 PM – 6:45 PM. Grades 5-8 will hold camp from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM. The cost of the camp is $40 which includes six hours of instruction, a camp t-shirt, and a can of new tennis balls. Checks can be made payable to the Perry Adult Booster Club. Pfeiffer Intermediate School will hold a Parent Orientation for parents/guardians of current 4th-grade students on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at 6:30 PM at Pfeiffer Intermediate School. Parents/Guardians of current 4th-grade students will receive information regarding the 2016-2017 school year. Pfeiffer’s principals and counselors will be on hand for parents/guardians to ask questions.
All of Perry’s current 4th-grade students will be touring Pfeiffer on Monday, May 16th or Tuesday, May 17th. Students will receive a black folder with valuable information for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to review the information before the meeting on Thursday, May 19th.
