Perry High School Athletic Leadership Council is selling Perry Spirit Shirts for the upcoming football game on Friday, October 30th against Glenoak. The cost of the shirt is $10. Each purchased shirt also includes free admittance to the game versus Glenoak on the 30th. Shirts will be on sale during lunch hours at each building and are also available at the Perry Athletic Department ticket office. Save your Perry Spirit Shirt and wear it to a select boys and girls basketball game to get in free! Click here for an order form and more information.

Our Scholastic Book Fair is right around the corner! Monday Oct. 26th-Friday Oct. 30th. Our Monster Book Fair will be here and we will have some monstrously good deals on books! Our Watson Family Shopping Night will be on Monday, Oct. 26th from 5:30-7:30 pm in the Library. We will have a student raffle for a chance to win books. Also, we are pairing up a Literacy Night with our Family Shopping Night on Monday, Oct. 26th. Literacy Night activities will be in the Watson Cafeteria.

Join your Perry friends and classmates for a D.A.R.E. sponsored skate party on Friday, October 23rd at the North Canton Skate Center from 10 AM – 2 PM. The cost to participate is $6 which includes skate/roller blade rental. Speed skates are $1.50 extra. Additional activities are laser tag, rock-wall, bumper cars, euro bungee, and 30 new video games. *Pricing for unlimited additional activities is $12 for a two hour pass, $15 for a three hour pass and $20 for a four hour pass. To recognize the National School Lunch Program and the 30 million children it serves every day Perry Local Schools will recognize National School Lunch Week from October 12-16, 2015. The theme, “School Lunch Snapshot” is all about sharing the best images of today’s school lunches.
National School Lunch Week will emphasize the healthy foods that are offered daily at our schools. School lunches have changed considerably and are healthier than ever, with more fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and less fat and sodium. (more…)

Do you have an American Flag that needs properly retired?
Bring your tired, bring your torn… American Flags to Edison Middle School. Girl Scout Troop 61039 will take those flags in order to respectfully and properly retire them for you. The Troop will be retiring as many flags as they can so they can earn their Silver Award. The Silver Award is the second highest award in Girl Scouts. The troop has a box in the office at Edison Middle School. If you have access to a large quantity, please contact Tricia Scott, leader at 330.479.8739 to arrange pickup. The Perry High School wrestling staff and the nationally ranked PHS wrestling team will be hosting an elementary wrestling clinic for beginning wrestlers in grades 1 – 6. The clinic will take place October 20th – October 22nd from 6 – 7 PM in the main gym at Perry High School. Cost for the clinic is $25 which includes awards, tournament entry to be held at the conclusion of the clinic, and a Perry wrestling t-shirt. The Perry Players will open their 55th Annual Theatre Season with the presentation of their Annual Children’s Theatre Production. Perry Theatre Director, Louie Mattachione has announced that the production this year will be the enchanting story of ICE CREAM SECRETS.
A total of 9 students have been cast in the production while another 20 students will be working on the technical crews for the show. In addition, 12 students will make up the Perry Theatre Clown Troupe who will meet and greet audience members as they arrive for the production.

The Perry Youth Girls Basketball Fall League will take place in the main gymnasium at Perry High School for girls in grades 3rd thru 6th. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of offense and defense at a two week skills camp prior to practicing and competing in scheduled games. The skills camp begins on Tuesday, September 29th. (more…)
