Fall Literacy/Math Family Night a Huge Success

Cover PhotoA huge THANK you to all who attended our Fall Literacy/Math Family Night on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.  Each of our family nights has a special theme and this time it was Lassoing a Good Book.  Families engaged in activity stations focused around reading/math strategies like building a set of retelling beads, creating readers theater characters, a math standoff, and even a ‘Makers Space’ where they could create a new made-up animal from a variety of materials available.    Patti Rante from The Stark County Library, Sippo Branch was also on site to sign families up for a library card and allow them to check out books from the many great selections she brought with her.  The evening capped off with a basket raffle where 5 of our students took home some exciting literacy/math baskets. Once again, another family fun night at Whipple Heights.  As always, thank you for your continued support.
