Whipple Adopt a Family Update

whippleadoptafamilyThanks to all of you, 16 Whipple Heights families were able to celebrate a brighter holiday season due to the generosity of our student’s, families, and the community.

Our students/families donated over $300 during our donation month (in addition to what was sent to Perry Helping Perry), our staff donated nonperishable/canned goods, and community businesses/families (including: Jim Camp at Cutler Real Estate, Dr. Brandon Blood at the Neck and Back Center, Ernie and Melody Blood, Justin Truex at Maconachy Stradley Insurance Agency, Guy Cecchini at G.A. Ventures, Inc., Chad Kuhn at East Coast Martial Arts, Jeff & Midge Hendershot at Baker’s Café ’33, Whipple Heights PTO, Sheila Dumolin, & the Dale Family) contributed monetary donations totaling $720, food, and gifts.   Additional support came from Scott Praxl and the congregation at Whipple Heights Alliance Church and their Adopt-A-Family’s mission which adopted 8 of our 16 families.

In total, we were able to support 16 families (32 children included) some with just gifts and others with gifts and food for several days.  Thank you again to all of you that participated in our Adopt-A-Family mission.  We hope you and your families had a safe and restful holiday break.

With much gratitude…
