Honoring Superstar Effort!

2016-05-23 08.11.55Great things continue to happen at Whipple Heights Elementary School.  The most recent being the posting of Mr. Hug’s 9th Round and Final Principal Showcase of the year.  The Principal Showcase is a bulletin board (located in the main hallway across from the office) where every four to five weeks teachers submit student work for recognition and display.  Each time the board is changed we recognize these students on our website/social media.  Additionally, when it’s time to change the board students receive a small token from Mr. Hug to reinforce his pride and excitement in their display of hard work.  (more…)

Art Displays Around the Community

Art Displays PicWhipple Heights Elementary is full of students with a wide variety of talents.  Most recently some of our talented visual arts students had their artwork chosen to be displayed either at Gasser Jewelers for First Friday’s theme night “Kids & Art” or the Stark County Public Library Sippo Branch.   (more…)

Coin Drive Yields Fantastic Results

IMG_3826Our 4th Annual Coin Drive yielded fantastic results.  We exceeded our goal and raised $1,268.94.  The entire amount will be donated to Perry Helping Perry, our community organization run by Perry’s own Mrs. Patty Knotts.  This money will be used to support programs like the Sack Snack program, which close to 60 of our own families benefit from weekly.   Congratulations to our KINDERGARTEN students who won a “special treat” (to be provided after Spring Break) for raising the most money.  Below is a breakdown of the grade level totals: (more…)
