Whipple Heights News Update

Perry-Pride-200Dear Whipple Heights Families,
It is with mixed emotions that I write to share with you all that as of July 31, 2019 I will be stepping down as Principal of Whipple Heights Elementary School. While I have thoroughly LOVED my time at Whipple Heights, and will greatly miss all of the students, teachers and families, I have recently accepted a new position within the district. This exciting new position is in the Curriculum Department (located at Central Office) where I hope to continue positively influencing the education of not only our Whipple Heights students, but also ALL of our students, Kindergarten thru Twelfth Grade. Beginning August 1, 2019 Erica Mytinger (formerly Assistant Principal at Pfeiffer Intermediate) will serve as the New Principal of Whipple Heights Elementary School. Knowing my successor personally, and all that she will bring to Whipple Heights, is of great comfort to me as I move forward.  I honestly cannot think of a better person for the job. In fact, I leave knowing that she will not only help carry forward the excellence we have worked so hard to achieve over these last six years together, but she is the best person to take Whipple Heights even farther into the future. I wish you all a wonderful summer break and look forward to seeing you again at one of our Perry Local School buildings and/or around the community!
Sincerely,
Joe Hug

Showcase #8Great things continue to happen at Whipple Heights Elementary School. The most recent being the posting of Mr. Hug’s 8 th Round Principal Showcase for the 2018-2019 school year. The Principal Showcase is a bulletin board (located in the main hallway across from the office) where every four to five weeks teachers submit student work for recognition and display based on student effort. Each time the board is changed we recognize these students on our website/social media. Additionally, when it’s time to change the board students receive a small token from Mr. Hug to reinforce his pride and excitement in their display of hard work.
