Coin Drive Yields Fantastic Results

IMG_3826Our 4th Annual Coin Drive yielded fantastic results.  We exceeded our goal and raised $1,268.94.  The entire amount will be donated to Perry Helping Perry, our community organization run by Perry’s own Mrs. Patty Knotts.  This money will be used to support programs like the Sack Snack program, which close to 60 of our own families benefit from weekly.   Congratulations to our KINDERGARTEN students who won a “special treat” (to be provided after Spring Break) for raising the most money.  Below is a breakdown of the grade level totals: (more…)

Honoring Superstar Effort!

IMG_3867Great things continue to happen at Whipple Heights Elementary School.  The most recent being the posting of Mr. Hug’s 7th Round Principal Showcase.  The Principal Showcase is a bulletin board (located in the main hallway across from the office) where every four to five weeks teachers submit student work for recognition and display.  Each time the board is changed we recognize these students on our website/social media.   Additionally, when it’s time to change the board students receive a small token from Mr. Hug to reinforce his pride and excitement in their display of hard work. Winter 2017 Literacy and Art Night

Article Pic
A huge thank you to all who attended our Winter Literacy/Art Night on Wednesday, February 22, 2017.  So many of our students and families were able to tour the building to observe the incredible works of art created in Mrs. Mullane’s Art classes as well as engage in fun crafts based off of these works of art.  Each of our family nights has a special theme and this time it was Island Luau.  We had a special reader who read the story There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell by Lucille Colandro.  The evening capped off with a basket raffle where 5 of our students took home some exciting literacy/art baskets. Once again, another family fun night at Whipple.  As always, thank you for your continued support.
