A huge THANK you to all who attended our Fall Literacy/Math Family Night on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Each of our family nights has a special theme and this time it was Lassoing a Good Book. Families engaged in activity stations focused around reading/math strategies like building a set of retelling beads, creating readers theater characters, a math standoff, and even a ‘Makers Space’ where they could create a new made-up animal from a variety of materials available. A huge THANK YOU to our Whipple Heights families for their generous donations of non-perishable / canned food items in conjunction with our annual Crazy Hat Day. Our students loved filling up the boxes and seeing all that was collected for our charity, Perry Helping Perry! This along with our Socktober event was a great lead into our upcoming Charity Month! Please join us in giving each week next month and helping us to surpass our last year collections. Information was sent home earlier in the week and is posted on our webpage. Here are some pictures from this year’s Crazy Hat Day!
For the past few years, we have held a week-long charity event with students bringing in different items each day to support Perry Helping Perry, our community organization that helps struggling families in Perry Township. (more…)
What a beautiful day we had for this year’s Warrior (Ninja Themed) Walk-A-Thon! On Thursday, October 12th, students along with teachers, parents, and even grandparents participated in our 5th annual event. The expansive track covered the majority of our back property and included stations like a mini ninja warrior course, ninja crawl, ninja roll, etc. The walk-a-thon is designed and put on by our PTO and Physical Education teacher Mr. Snyder. More information regarding a total of funds raised and prizes obtained will be included in our November Newsletter. A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped support our students and school!

Each time the board is changed we recognize these students on our website/social media. Additionally, when it’s time to change the board students receive a small token from Mr. Hug to reinforce his pride and excitement in their display of hard work. (more…)
Don’t forget, it is Socktober and we are collecting sock donations throughout the month. This charity project was created by and is sponsored by Perry High School seniors. At the moment, our 2nd-grade students are in the lead with their donation box about half full. Please help if you can by contributing to this charitable effort!
