Ohio’s State Board of Education has granted Whipple Elementary a 2017-2018 Momentum Award. Now in its fourth year, the Momentum Award is the State Board’s way of recognizing schools that received A’s on every Value-Added measure included on the Ohio School Report Cards. As a Momentum Award winner, Whipple’s report card shows your school is committed to its students’ success by ensuring students exceeded the growth expectations in English language arts and mathematics. Congratulations on recruiting and motivating the high-quality leaders and staff needed to make this happen.

Ohio’s strategic plan for education, Each Child, Our Future, is the state’s plan to ensure each student is challenged, prepared and empowered for his or her future by way of an excellent prekindergarten through grade 12 education. Our mission is to prepare students for a future that has yet to be written. Many consider this to be a daunting endeavor. The team at Whipple, however, has clearly embraced this challenge. The Perry High School Athletic Student Council is putting on a salt sale for all who are getting ready for the winter months ahead. If you are looking for rock salt for your driveway and/or softener salt for your water softener, then we can provide a convenient and affordable option. The Perry High School Athletic Student Council is offering 50 lb bags of rock salt for $10 a bag along with 40 lb Softener Salt for $10 a bag. Orders are delivered to your house within days of the order, the hassle of lugging these heavy bags will be eliminated. Deliveries are made in and outside of our school district. All proceeds will go towards our Perry High School Athletic Student Council community project. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Athletic Department at 330-478-6159. As we enter into the holiday season, the district would like to remind you that you are not alone. There are a number of resources that will be available while the district is closed for winter break. With school out of session for a few days, all Perry Local School Counselors will be out of the office until school resumes.
