It has been such a GREAT first week of school here at Whipple Heights Elementary! Just a quick reminder, we do welcome parents to come in and have lunch with their students on occasion. That said, we ask that you wait until after Friday, September 16th. We like for the students to have the first month to become acclimated to the routines of school.

The Perry Football Boosters will be selling 2016 Perry roster t-shirts. Shirts have the image to the right on the front and the roster of the 2016 Perry Panthers on the back. The cost for the t-shirts is $15 and can be purchased at all home football games. Contact Melissa at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Get yours before they sell out!
Class lists will be posted tomorrow, Friday, August 12 at 4:00 pm. Individual postcards are being mailed home from the bus garage containing pick-up/drop-off information. So please be on the lookout for those.
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year from the Perry Local Schools Transportation Department. The Perry High School Cheerleaders will be holding a fall cheerleading clinic for Perry’s K-6 students on Saturday, August 27th from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Pfeiffer Intermediate School. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of cheering, stretching, and complete a craft. Cheerleaders will also learn one dance routine, five chants, and one cheer to use at the September 2nd football game versus Central Catholic. The Rotary of Perry Township, in cooperation with Members of Perry Local Schools, encourage you to pledge your support to the Angelyna Callahan ~ Cancer Fund.
On May 5th, 2016 fifteen (15) year old Angelyna Callahan was diagnosed with stage four (4 ) cancer. Before that, she had always been a happy, healthy young girl. Angelyna has completed phase 1 of 7 chemo treatments. June 1st was the first day of her second round of chemo. (more…)
The Perry Boys basketball program will be holding a skills camp June 13 – 15 in the main gym at Perry High School. Camp for boys entering grades 2 – 5 will be held from 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM. The 4th Grade Class has been working very hard these past two weeks to run a donation drive for Pitties and Kitties Rescue and The Stark County Humane Society. The drive was a huge success and many area cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens will benefit from the generosity of our amazing Whipple families! A special shout out to kindergarten for bringing in the most items and winning the grade-level cupcake party, compliments of Kerdunk Kupcakery here in Perry! Early this week, the owner of Pitties and Kitties, along with their puppy mascot Sid, visited the 4th-grade students to say “Thank You!” (more…)
