The Perry High School Gymnastics team would love for you to join us on December 10th for a fun-filled day of gymnastics. Each child will have time to try all four events (floor, balance beam, uneven bars, and vault) and receive instruction on basic skills from the Perry gymnasts and coaches. We look forward to seeing you there! Click here for more information and a clinic registration form.

Due to low turnout, the District Autism team has decided to postpone the Perry Supports Parents group scheduled to be held on November 16th. Stay tuned for updates.
On Wednesday, November 9th, 2016 Whipple Heights held its annual Fall Family Night. Over 300 people attended our “Argh you Ready to Read?” pirate themed event. Students got to walk the plank, have a pirate snack, discover their pirate name and partake in many other pirate themed reading and math activities. In addition to all of the activities, each child in attendance received a book to take home with them as a prize for completing the activities with their family. The feedback solicited from parents, via our exit survey, as well as from staff was overwhelmingly positive with comments such as “This was the best one yet!” A HUGE thank you to our Title One teachers for organizing this incredibly fun event and also to our staff volunteers!
Mark your calendars for Monday, November 14th! Please support our school by having dinner at Chipotle on Tuscarawas, or placing an order to go. 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the WHPTO! Last year we raised just over $800.00 through this event. This year we are going for $900.00+! Hope to see you in line.
At Whipple Heights, we believe in teaching our young learners the importance of being charitable. The week of November 16-20 will be devoted to focusing on helping those less fortunate. Last year we collected $1,650 plus boxes and boxes of donated items. This year, we hope to be able to do the very same if not more. Please take a few minutes to read the file linked here. A copy of this came home this week as well. We ask that you take a few minutes to talk with your child(ren) about what it means to be charitable and do as much as you can to support each day of this all-important week. All donations and money raised will go to Perry Helping Perry.
The PTO is looking for some help for the Father Daughter Dance this Friday, November 11th. We are in need of baked goods as well as help after school plating cookies for the dance. Additionally, we are looking for help serving punch/water at the dance itself. If you can help please contact Kim Matasich email@example.com via email or cell phone/text (330) 361-0576.
Recently you received information, in Whipple’s November Newsletter, for our Upcoming Grandparents Day! To pull this event off we need your HELP! Please see the attached flyer which should come home with your student today. We are especially in need of LOTS of cookies for this day. Also, because of the volume of people we host on this day, please know we will be unable to have grandparents stay for lunch. They are certainly welcome another day but with so much going on we would prefer they come only during their scheduled time.
Whipple Heights held its 4th annual Whipple Walk-A-Thon on Thursday, October 6th. It was by far our biggest walk-a-thon to date, raising just shy of $21,000.00. A HUGE Thank You to our Whipple Heights Community for their support! The top prize for students was a ride in a limo bus to CiCi’s Pizza for lunch with the Mr. Hug on Wednesday, October, 26th! We had 146 students qualify for this prize level which meant they each raised $100.00 or more towards our total. Thanks to the Whipple Heights PTO for putting on another great fundraising experience for our students and school!
At our last Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting it was discussed and decided that notes from each one of our PTO meetings will now be posted on Whipple Heights school media. These will be archived on the website under the Parent Organization tab. Attached are the minutes from October’s meeting.
