The first week of Whipple Heights NEW Bus Behavior Program was a huge success! And, as we will each Monday morning, five names were drawn from the bus bin. Our first ever Positive Bus Behavior Recipients were:
Alexis Eubanks, Wesley Emerick, Samantha Jordan, Tori Leali, and Madelyn Smith

This coming week we will be starting a new positive behavior program geared towards improving our student’s bus ride to and from school. Each trip (morning and afternoon) all of our bus drivers will be asked to select one student (per trip) who stood out to them because they were following the rules and setting a positive example for others.
Students who receive a ticket will then fill it out (with their name and grade) and place the ticket in a box located in the school office (see picture). At the end of the week, Mr. Hug will draw five student names from the box and honor those positive examples. Recipients will not only have their names announced during morning announcements but they will also receive a small prize and have their picture featured on our school website.

Great things continue to happen at Whipple Heights Elementary School. The most recent being the addition of Mr. Hug’s Principal Showcase. The Principal Showcase is a new bulletin board (located in the main hallway across from the office) where every three to four weeks teachers submit student work for recognition and display. Each time the board is changed we will recognize these students on our website/social media. Additionally, when it’s time to change the board students will receive a small token from Mr. Hug to reinforce his pride and excitement in their display of hard work. (more…)
On Thursday, February 13th Whipple Heights Elementary held its 4th Positive Behavior Rewards Party of year. Elec Simon & Friends engaged students in an interactive and highly exciting show where Elec emphasized the importance of respect and kindness to all. What was even more exciting about this behavior party was that 89% of our 400 students qualified to participate. This is a 9% increase from our first behavior party held back in September.
