We have reached 58% of our goal!!

newsletterThe WHPTO needs your help! We set a goal of $25,000 for this year (which is slightly higher than the total amount brought in over the last few years). It is imperative that we extend our collection in order to be able to support the numerous opportunities such as Field Trips, 4th Grade Recognition Fun Day, Positive Behavior Parties, COSI on Wheels etc. As you can see, Whipple Heights works to provide its students with lots of rich experiences. We traditionally try to only hold one fundraiser per year. Thus, we need to all come together to raise a little more money!  See Attached information here and here for more details!

Honoring Superstar Effort!

Principal Showcase #1 9-26-18Great things happen at Whipple Heights Elementary School. The most recent being the posting of Mr. Hug’s 1 st Round Principal Showcase for the 2018-2019 school year. The Principal Showcase is a bulletin board (located in the main hallway across from the office) where every four to five weeks teachers submit student work for recognition and display based on student effort. Each time the board is changed we recognize these students on our website/social media. Additionally, when it’s time to change the board students receive a small token from Mr. Hug to reinforce his pride and excitement in their display of hard work. (more…)

Kindness Campaign Kickoff

Whipple Photo for WebsiteWe kicked off a Kindness Campaign here at Whipple Heights Elementary today, September 25th!  Your child (1st-4th) will be bringing home some information to share with you about their Love Languages!  Our goal is to create an awareness of how we can be better bucket fillers by learning about the 5 Love Languages and how all of us are different.  Click here for a copy of the parent letter and the survey students took.  Please take time to ask them about the activities they did at school today and what they learned about how to be a better bucket filler.

Wellness Connection Week

image1Wellness Connection Week runs from September 24-28.  Our goal is to connect our students and staff to activities that help emphasize and educate all on living a healthy lifestyle both mind and body.  Our PE-Health teachers will be in charge of creating lessons and activities at each building in order to educate and encourage our students and their families on healthy living.  Please contact Anna Ziccardi @ Anna.Ziccardi@perrylocal.org if you have any questions or want to be involved in helping during the Wellness Connection Week.
